Nikon's new AF 14mm F2.8 Full Frame Wide Angle Lens has been announced by Samyang, marking their 8th autofocus lens and the first AF lens specifically designed for Nikon F mount cameras. This new 14mm F2.8 AF lens is engineered to deliver high-resolution, well-corrected imagery when used with Nikon's most advanced Full Frame image sensor cameras. It can also be utilized on Nikon APS-C models, providing an equivalent focal length of 21mm.

Employing state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques and an advanced optical design, the lens features 15 Ultra Multi Coated elements in 10 groups, including 2 Aspherical, 1 Extra-Low Dispersion, and 4 High Refractive Index elements. This sophisticated configuration minimizes aberrations, controls distortion, and provides excellent resolution.

Remarkably, the new Samyang 14mm Lens is more affordable than comparable options in its class, while offering a slightly wider angle of view at 116.6°. The ergonomically designed aluminum alloy housing incorporates a M/AF switch, allowing for quick selection between fast, quiet autofocusing and full manual focus control. Furthermore, in AF mode, a manual focus override feature is available, enabling fine-tuning of the focus after the lens has autofocused.
